Exergen Temporal Scanner Thermometer

I recently had the opportunity, through MamaBuzz, to review the Exergen Temporal Scanner Thermometer. With Becks being so sick lately, I jumped at the chance to review a product that would allow me take his temperature quickly and efficiently, as it was a fight to get him to hold it under his arm for any length of time longer than five seconds!

With that being said, I must tell you that I love this thermometer. It really is a cinch to use and you can take a temperature while your child is sleeping which is a MAJOR bonus! You just swipe it across the forehead over to the temple, keeping the thermometer touching the skin at all times. I actually used it the other day in the middle of the night when I thought he felt warm (he was fine!), and it worked great!

The only thing I didn't care for about this product is the beeping noise you hear while you're scanning that tells you when it senses a rise in temperature (not necessarily a high temp but just a rise). Though he went back to sleep, the noise did wake Becks up for a few seconds. It would be nice to be able to turn the sound off and maybe have a blinking light that indicated the rise instead. Otherwise, I think this is a worthwhile product for every parent to own!
