Posting from the floor!

Sold! Sold! Sold! That's what I wanted to scream from the rooftop as my new BFF, Caleb, hoisted our two couches into the bed of his truck. And he even paid full price (!!!!!). So, now, everything is sold. Which leaves me and B sitting on rug in the dining room, which is currently being used as the living room, eating our supper on the floor. I would like to say that the rooms look so big and clean and open, but they don't because the floor is strew with the odd assortment of toys, misplaced housewares, and newly found pacifiers freed from beneath the couch. This is me, sitting on the couches as I await pick-up.
Also, it's terribly cold. I'm sitting here on the floor using Becks IKEA chair as a computer stand. Clever, no? Actually, just very drafty. Being on older, already innefficiently insulated home, it is now even colder sans carpet and furniture. The plan is that B will start the big hardwood redo on Saturday and work all weekend. Isn't he the man? Fortunately, he's my man :) He's pretty pumped about taking a random orbital sander for a spin. Pun completely intended.

I am also having a couple girlfriends over on Friday night for dinner, and hopefully the dining room furniture will be enough to entertain or I'm going to have to ask them to bring a bean bag in addition to drinks and dessert. Becks and B are getting the boot having boys night out.

Well, that's all I really have to say. Back to watching American Idol from the cold floor. Don't feel too bad - we got over half of what we initially paid for our furniture set. Pretty good considering it's almost 3 years old! IKEA is calling my naaaaaaame!
