Well it's official, I turned the big 3-0. I dreaded the day but thanks to the best family there was no way to get depressed. On my actual birthday my mom and sister planned an awesome 2 day shopping extravaganza! We left early Friday morning and headed to Lubbock (my college town...guns up!) to spend the day with my aunt and cousins.
We met at my favorite restaurant, Souper Salad!
Yes, call me crazy but this girl loves a huge salad and endless amounts of gingerbread :)

After lunch we shopped and shopped and then made a point to be at our hotel for ALL of happy hour.
I haven't laughed that much in a loooong time.

It was great to see everyone and especially this little cutie. Megan is my 'surrogate daughter' after living almost a year with us in Kansas at the beginning of her college career. And guess who is graduating college in a few weeks?! So proud of our May-may!!
After happy hour and a nice dinner we decided we needed to do some more shopping...so we headed to the only store open after 10pm, Kohls!!
We were still feeling pretty good after our happy hour drinks so we managed to have too much fun in the dressing room. I didn't buy anything but I had fun trying things on off the 80% off rack.
On Saturday we did a little lot of shopping at the LOFT and then headed home. I am set for spring/summer with some great new '30 outfits.' I went for loose fitting flowy tops, printed shorts and lots of bright colors.
Happy Birthday Jacey!
My niece and I share birthdays just a few days apart. In the past we have even had shared parties. This year I was in New Orleans for her party but the little cowboys got to go to her pool party and had a great time! I can't believe she is 9 years old. I still remember rocking this little red head to sleep. My sister didn't want to know the sex of her babies so when she was born it was so much fun running out shopping with my mom and practically buying everything pink in sight. She is still my only niece and will always be so special to me... love you Jacey Mae!
